CAFÉ MELLEMRUMMET
Since its establishment in 2010 Café Mellemrummet has been run by volunteers from more than 69 different countries across the world.
By day the café is filled with students, hostel guests and fair trade coffee lovers and by night it becomes a bar where you can buy both Palestinian and Danish beer, one is brewed right up the street from the café and the other under military occupation in the Middle East.
Café Mellemrummet hosts everything from documentary screenings and world music concerts to clothes swap shops and political debates. It focuses on selling organic and fair trade products as well as on minimizing our impact on the environment.
The café is a social enterprise that donates its profits to support solidarity, human right and active citizenship through the work of Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke ActionAid Denmark and the specific development project chosen by the volunteers to be supported for a two-year period.
